This policy explains what personal information Rekova collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose. It applies to customers in the United States.

Who is responsible for your information

Rekova is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Our registered operator details are on our Legal Notice page. You can contact us about anything in this policy at support@rekovastore.com.

What we collect

Order information. Your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number, and the items you buy.
Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last digits and type of card. We never see or store your full card number.
Account and contact information. Anything you give us when you create an account, subscribe to emails, submit a review, or email our support team.
Device and usage information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

To process your order, take payment, and arrange delivery
To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and tracking updates
To answer your questions and handle returns and warranty claims
To send marketing emails, where you have asked to receive them
To measure and improve our advertising, including Google Ads
To detect and prevent fraud, and to keep our website secure
To understand how our website is used so we can improve it
To meet our legal and tax obligations

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the parties who help us run the store, and only with what they need:

Shopify, which hosts our online store
Payment providers, to process your payment securely
Our fulfillment partner and delivery carriers, to pack and deliver your order
Email, analytics and advertising providers, including Google, to send order emails, understand site usage and measure our advertising

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Targeted advertising and your opt-out right

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, we do share information about your activity on this site with advertising partners so that we can show you relevant ads elsewhere. Under some US state privacy laws — including in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others — that sharing may be treated as a "sale", a "share", or "targeted advertising", and you have the right to opt out of it.

You can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. If you browse our site with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we treat that as an opt-out request for that browser and device.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies to keep your cart and checkout working, and analytics and advertising cookies to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. You can refuse or delete non-essential cookies through your browser settings or the cookie banner, though some parts of the site may not work as well.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails to people who have asked for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional emails about an order you have placed.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to service your order and to meet accounting, tax and consumer protection obligations, which is generally seven years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.

Your rights

Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you and request a copy of it
Correct personal information that is inaccurate
Delete personal information we hold about you
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising
Receive your information in a portable format
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

Email support@rekovastore.com and we will respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need longer. We may need to verify your identity first. You can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of that authorization.

If we decline your request and you disagree, you may appeal by replying to our response. Depending on your state, you may also be able to complain to your state Attorney General.

Where your information is processed

Because our suppliers and service providers operate in several countries, your information may be stored or processed outside the United States, including in Germany and in the countries our fulfillment partner operates from. We take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a comparable standard wherever it is handled.

Security

Our store runs on Shopify, which encrypts data in transit and holds PCI DSS certification for payment handling. We limit access to personal information to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify you promptly if a breach affects you, as required by the law of your state.

Children

Our store is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
